If you are interested in and passionate about Black history, the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) Detroit is the group for you! ASALH Detroit meets each month at The Charles H. Wright Museumof African American History.
ASALH-Detroit is dedicated to the study and appeciation of African American History and host an annual Black History Month Program to introduce present day historians and scholars to the greater metroploitan community. The branch works with local, national and international organizations, colleges and universities when developing its programs.
The ASALH Detroit organizing branch has forty-five charter members who represent a broad spectrum of academic preparation, career experiences, and interests.
